Do you remember Budhia ?

The boy who had set the record of running 65 km marathon in 2006. Not only he participated in the marathon but also won the race . He became the World's Youngest Marathon Runner by running 65 kms in 7 hours and 2 minutes. He also got listed in Limca Book of Records in 2006 .

Its very easy to forget someone unless he is in news . Same is happening with this marathon runner who now exists nowhere. He could be the upcoming olympic winner for India . But he is suffering from malnutrition at Govt. Hostel. His Coach Biranchi Das ( who trained budhia and led him to the recognition ) was killed in 2008 after the controversy that he forcibly made budhia to run long distances.

The media made him celebrity and he appeared in several TV Shows and news channels. He also appeared in the documentary "Marathon Boy" funded by HBO and BBC Storyville . This documentary was nominated in EMMY awards in 2011 .

Where is Budhia Now ?

Despite of having celebrity like status , Budhia is starving for the attention from the Indians and Indian Govt. His Coach is no more to look after his career . Indian media who has never missed any controversy or scandal , never told you about this boy . Budhia has become the lost story .
